Best segway tours in Heidelberg

⭐️ Rating: 4.8 stars | ⏳ Duration: 1.75 hours | → Book Tour*
During this 105-minute Segway in Heidelberg* you will drive on the Philosophers’ Way.
The Philosophers’ Way, or Philosophenweg in German, is one of Heidelberg’s most enchanting paths, located on the northern banks of the Neckar River.
Originally the Philosopher’s Way was a vineyard path in the 17th and 18th centuries known as Linsenbühlerweg. The route was transformed during the late Romantic period into what is now known as Philosophers’ Way. The trail has historically been a favorite walking spot for university professors and philosophers, contributing to its name. The professors and philosophers used the path as a place for deep conversations and reflection, inspired by the stunning views of the Neckar River and the Old Town.
This scenic route not only offers breathtaking vistas but also passes through lush greenery, making it an ideal backdrop for a Segway tour that combines natural beauty with historical exploration.
The tour begins with a brief Segway training session for first-timers.
Afterwards a professional guide will lead you through this scenic route, revealing hidden gems and iconic landmarks like Heidelberg Castle.
All necessary equipment is provided. The tour starts and ends at Neckarmünzplatz in front of the tourist office.
Because it was so much fun, I booked a ride for the 2nd time within a short period of time. We also had the same guide Leon, who once again explained everything with understanding, relaxed composure and in a very personable way. The HD history was also explained to us in detail. Simply a great experience for everyone with a great fun factor.

Having never ridden a Segway before we were really looking forward to this and it wasn’t a disappointment. The guide was friendly and took time to make sure that we knew how to operate the Segway safely before we set off. It doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. If you’re looking for a guided tour of Heidelberg then this isn’t for you – if however you are looking for an enjoyable, exhilarating experience then it is. The guide was knowledgable about the Heidelberg area and was happy to answer questions, without boring us with tedious facts that we wouldn’t remember anyway. She let us enjoy the ride. We would all recommend this tour and would certainly do it again!!
